Victoria currently leads, with Dr Andrew Sneddon (International History), the 'Islandmagee Witches 1711' project. This collaborative, multidisciplinary, public history project uses creative and digital technologies to explore Ireland’s last witch trial held in County Antrim in 1711. Project outputs include: digitised trial records, a graphic novel, a video game, a play, an original musical score, a VR experience, and an exhibition hub at Carrickfergus Museum and Public Record Office of Northern Ireland. In 2024, the project was awarded 'Best in Festival' at the Broadcast Education Association Awards in Las Vegas, USA. Learn more here: w1711.org or browse through some stills from the project below.
